Package contents
The product package contains all files required for server installation. The package also contains sample location XML files for testing. The files are packaged in a zip compressed archive that is downloaded to your desktop.
 
Extracting files (Windows platform)

Use an extraction software such as WinZip or EasyZip to extract files from the zip package. Right click on the MapTron1207 zip package residing on the desktop and select "Extract to ... " selecting / making a new folder on the desktop. The files will be unpackaged to a new folder on the desktop. Name the new folder "MapTron1207".

Alternative: Create a new empty folder on your desktop and name it MapTron1207. Open the zip package with extraction software such as WinZip or EasyZip. Extract all files to the new empty folder. Close and exit the extraction software.

Important: Do not attempt to open files by double clicking inside the zip package. The system will not function inside the the zip package, all files must be extracted into a folder prior to testing. Extraction software interface may appear like a folder; To avoid confusion, always exit the extraction software when finished.

 
Extracting files (Macintosh platform)
Double click on the zip package on your desktop. Mac OSX operating system will automatically create a new folder and extract the contents.
 
Additional files
The product package contains additional zip files nested in the main package. Extract the nested zip files into their own folders when needed (more on these files later in the manual). The next section describes the organization of files in the MapTron1207 folder.
