Setting up folders

The system may be setup with a single folder to contain all files, however, its recommended that 3 folder be created inside the MapTron1207 folder to better organize the system.

Start by creating the 3 folders inside the MapTron1207 folder. Name the folders "locations", "modules", and "pcd". Figure 2.2a shows typical setup and describes how the folders are used.

The locations folder will contain all location XML files. The sample location files provided with the package may be inserted in this folder for testing purposes. Later delete the sample location files and replace with real data files.

The modules folder will contain the module files. These files are all named MT1207mod-NNNN.swf where NNNN is the name of the module (more on this later). Move all module files into the modules folder.

The pcd folder will contain "post code data" files. This folder and enclosed files are only required if the locator system will be setup to search by distance from a zip code. The post code data files are contained in their own zip package within the main product package. Extract files and install in the pcd folder. Note: omit this optional setup if the system will not be configured to perform a distance search from a zip code.

Main application files

Figure 2.2a also describes the main application files residing in the MapTron1207 folder. The index.htm and diagnostics.htm files may be removed once the setup is complete and fully tested on the server. The files MapTron1207.js, MapTron1207.swf, and MapTron1207.xml are required. Do not rename any file inside the MapTron1207 folder.
